At Uplift Physio, we specialize in identifying the root cause of persistent pain and movement dysfunction. While hands-on therapy and corrective exercise remain the foundation of our care, we selectively integrate advanced regenerative technologies to stimulate healing and accelerate recovery in complex or chronic cases.

Advanced Regenerative Therapies

Focused Shockwave, Radial Pressure Wave & EMTT

At Uplift Physio, we integrate advanced regenerative technologies into your individualized treatment plan when clinically appropriate. These tools are designed to stimulate healing, improve tissue quality, and accelerate recovery in cases where traditional approaches alone may not be enough.

We utilize the STORZ Medical shockwave platform, distributed by CuraMedix, a globally recognized leader in focused and radial shockwave technology, along with Electromagnetic Transduction Therapy (EMTT).

These therapies are always combined with skilled, one-on-one physical therapy to restore strength, coordination, and long-term resilience.

Focused Shockwave Therapy

Focused shockwave delivers high-energy acoustic waves with precision to deeper tissue structures. Unlike many devices on the market, focused shockwave allows us to target specific areas of chronic degeneration or tissue dysfunction with accuracy.

Focused shockwave is often used for:

* Chronic tendinopathies (achilles, patellar, hamstring).

* Gluteal and hip tendon injuries

* Rotator cuff tendinopathy

* Persistent plantar fasciitis

* Scar tissue restrictions

This therapy works by stimulating local circulation, promoting cellular activity, and triggering a biological healing response in tissue that has stalled.

Focused shockwave is typically brief and targeted, and is integrated into a broader rehabilitation strategy.

Radial Pressure Wave Therapy

Radial pressure wave therapy (often referred to as radial shockwave) disperses acoustic energy over a broader surface area. It is particularly effective for more superficial soft tissue conditions and for addressing widespread muscular tension patterns.

Radial therapy is commonly used for:

* Myofascial trigger points

* Superficial tendon irritation

* Muscular restrictions

* Scar tissue mobilization

* Soft tissue dysfunction

Radial pressure wave can help improve tissue mobility, reduce pain sensitivity, and prepare tissues for strengthening and neuromuscular retraining.

Electromagnetic Transduction Therapy (EMTT)

EMTT is a non-invasive therapy that uses high-frequency electromagnetic energy to stimulate cellular metabolism and support tissue regeneration at a deeper biological level.

EMTT may be used in combination with shockwave to enhance healing in:

* Chronic joint pain

* Tendon degeneration

* Bone stress injuries

* Complex or persistent musculoskeletal conditions

This therapy supports the body’s natural repair processes and is selected when we want to amplify regenerative response.

Our Approach

These technologies are never used as standalone quick fixes. They are carefully selected and integrated into your comprehensive rehabilitation plan, which may include:

* Manual therapy

* Neuromuscular re-education

* Corrective exercise

* Strength progression

* Movement retraining

Our goal is not just symptom relief, but durable recovery and optimized function.

Insurance & Coverage

Shockwave Therapy and EMTT are considered advanced regenerative modalities and are not typically covered by insurance plans. When used, they are offered as optional add-on services and are billed separately from your physical therapy session.

If you plan to submit for out-of-network reimbursement, we are happy to provide a detailed superbill for the skilled physical therapy portion of your visit.

Take the first step towards better physical health by scheduling an appointment with Uplift Physio.
